AIDA Israel

AIDA Israel was formed as a non-profit organization in September 1996.

The organization was established to create a framework for the development of Insurance Law and Theory by reviews and update of changes in legislation and new Court precedents on insurance law among the stakeholders in the Israeli market. The meetings in which various views and opinions are debated and exchanged, attract lawyers who practise insurance, representatives of insurance companies, loss adjusters and brokers.

AIDA Israel has conducted throughout the years, seminars and conferences in which lectures were given by judges, retired judges and professors from the Israeli Universities.

The general purpose of the activity of AIDA Israel is to develop and promote a better understanding of the various issues in insurance law and exchange views from the different perspectives, i.e. lawyers representing insureds and lawyers representing insurance companies.

Until September 2017 the President of AIDA Israel was Peter Gad Naschitz and after his passing away a new committee was set up and on 28 March 2018 Peggy Sharon was elected as President.

The new AIDA Israel activity will be comprised of more intensive meetings in smaller groups which will devote, each time, to specific insurance issues instead of the previous activity which held one or two conferences per year.
